A 15-year-old Burton Albion fan was arrested for punching one of the club’s mascots during a 2010 game his team won.
The attack was on Bettie Brewer – the female partner of male mascot Billy. The cartoon-type character, which was wearing the newly promoted League Two side’s team colours, suffered minor injuries during the attack. Stewards dashed on to the pitch to stop the attack and held the suspect.
